Pain

We all have hard days…Those around you have them: your kids, parents, friends and you. It\’s okay to be in a funk. Let\’s talk about how you can handle pain, recognize it, and help you change your body vibration without running from the hurt or buffering…

When you have been hurt; do you remember how you reacted to the pain? Typically, it is tears? Maybe anger? The one emotion that is different, that I think is so powerful because it changes the frequency of the pain within your body: disappointment(it hurts when someone disappoints you). The more aware you are of how your body reacts– that will be the KEY to discovering even more about yourself. I know, while you\’re in that sudden moment- you don\’t really have time to THINK about why you\’re responding the way you are…BUT, when you are hit with hurt. STOP. Take a deep breath. Feel the pain. Keep breathing, maybe close your eyes as the thought continues to feel like a repeated punch in your gut. Acknowledge it. So much pain. Open your eyes…It will be okay.

The best advice: when you\’re in the beginning stages of pain is to withdraw for the moment(until you can better control your reaction, but always recognize there is always someone to talk to when you need it!) [As time goes forward, you will grow to understand how pain generates in your own body…]

When you open your eyes, do you have tears from the raw ache inside of yourself. Maybe your stomach is in knots…Disbelief of the current situation causes a lot of additional \’shock\’ to your system. Cry. All those tears of pain and suffering release from your body for good reason. It\’s an energy release. If crying is your \’go-to\’ for pain, please cry, UGLY CRY. If your immediate thought stirs up anger, take your breathing from a deeper part of your body– maybe have your entire body respond to the breathing. Try to focus on listening to each breath. It will be difficult, maybe you want to punch a wall, break something, kick in a door. Deep breath. Walk away from the situation, from people around you…breath.

Remember, pain is a part of life. There is NOTHING you(or I) can do to prevent it from happening to us. The key is to be aware of how you react to the struggles in your life. Don\’t be a victim. You cannot feel sorry for yourself, I will say it again: PAIN and STRUGGLE is a part of ALL our lives. Be the strong person I know you are; recognize it when it happens, handle it maturely, and let it go.

Letting it build or buffering(drinking, eating, drugs…) will only numb the pain(band-aid/temporarily fix!)- just feel it, address it. Deal with it. Grow from it. From the energy of pain the biggest piece of personal growth can happen! No matter what size the pain, let it vibrate throughout your body and feel it. Trudge forward within your heartache: you will develop in a positive way- leaps and bounds by learning lessons and changing your life.

How do you handle pain in your life? How can you change the way you hand heartache?
