Picture your \’routine life\’. Do you feel bored? Trapped? I need to make it clear to you: this does not mean you need to flip your normalcy into something completely different. I\’m begging you…DO NOT go get married, get a divorce, change careers, have another baby, or even move away. There is NO need to make drastic changes. What you may need is a simple switch in the daily hum-drum. NEVER leave or change your situation without FIRST: being happy with you.
When you\’re feeling stuck: it\’s not necessarily the career/home/people in your life. Emotions are always driven by your thoughts[around your \’boring\’ life]. There are so many GREAT daily moments that often get forgotten because our mind is anticipating the bad or negative- unfortunately, it gets more attention than any promising good moments. We forget to remember (ha!) the days of ease when leaving the house, we make it to work on time, and you didn\’t spill coffee on your clothes. Yessssss. Check THAT off as a SUCCESS! Doesn\’t your pickup get you from point A to point B without any mishaps most days? Another valid positive. I recommend if you sometimes get \’fogged\’ over by the negativity…Write down the simple positives! Keep it handy to remind you that there ARE good things in our daily lives. It all comes back to your thoughts controlling your emotions.
Sometimes, once we start to see the positive, we will start to feel a little \’lighter\’. Maybe there is something in your past; or some passion you have always been interested(taking a class?) Do it. Bring back \’your something\’ that has always brought you happiness, incorporate it into your routine. Sometimes it\’s the small changes that can be the most rewarding to our self-care. Keep in mind- LIFE will NEVER be perfect for ANYONE. ALL the people around you have different ups and (possibly) lower downs. Be kind to all. Make small changes in your \’stuck\’ habits and remind yourself of the positives in your life. Are you happy with your current life routine? What is something that you would enjoy that you can incorporate into your schedule more regularly?
