This blog is for anyone struggling in their daily life. Whether it\’s depression, anxiety, grief, or simply unhappiness…This is a message for you! Also, to anyone coming off a breakup, divorce, or trauma that will (inevitably) spin you in an emotional spiral, pay attention.
Have you EVER been told by someone to, \’take some time to work on yourself\’. Ha. What is your immediate reaction? You just want to roll your eyes, right? Perhaps thinking, \’Why should I work on myself? What did I do wrong…? It was their fault…They lied to me, they cheated, it\’s not my fault.\’ Okay, fine- be that way (ha, sounds mature right? Almost as intelligent as your thoughts surrounding the no need to fix yourself attitude…You can always improve!) Keep in mind you don\’t have to take full responsibility for a family crisis, BUT any relationship(friendship/marriage) should always be 100% effort given by each party. ALWAYS. If you gave 100% and it still fell apart; let\’s maybe try to realize there might be something wrong with \’the approach\’ on your part…fair statement?!?
What does it mean to \’work on yourself\’? The simplest definition: become self-aware. What is THAT? THAT is the foundation to how well you know yourself. The best example is: what makes you mad? Maybe sad? Anxiety? To have awareness in yourself is such a powerful tool- I will explain more in-depth in the coming weeks.
I want to help teach you this skill- we\’re only days away from the announcement! I can\’t wait- I will have more information for you to build this foundation piece of yourself.
Oh, and how self-aware are you?
